Had to continually re-shrink and then cut and paste the lower half of the body. A real pain trying to paint the outline of the legs without an upper body present. This file really is too damn big for me to treat it as a full body portrait.

The armor is slowly starting to come in. I'll be keeping most of this picture loose since I need this coming week to work on other projects.

That looks so awesome

That stinks that you have to keep separate files

Yeah, the computer doesn't like it when I try working on a 30K pixel canvas. Chopping the anatomy into segments and working "blind" is really the only way I can work with this.

Cubeupload decided it didn't want to live anymore, so I'm just supplying an attachment file.

Whoa, that looks totally epic. Very, very awesome! I love the armor you created for it; gonna echo both of you on this one, and hope for something similar in GW2.

Although it would have to be for female characters too, I dislike playing males.

Males aren't so cool as females. Females look good in everything and males really don't. :P

I'll probably only make one male Charr in GW2 though.

Eh, I think males look just as good as females. :P Some things fit males much better than females anyway. I just think they weren't done very well in GW, too bulky and big.

If they fix that in GW2, I might make a male character just to try it out.

As for males in GW. I love male rangers that's it

Dude, you're using XP potions! That's cheating! >8[

Seriously though, Charlie, you are *incredibly* skilled. <3

That is so effing awesome.

Also, as far as male characters in GW go, male Mesmers aren't bad either

Holy crap, Charlie, that is amazing. o_o I could definitely see you making it as a concept artist.

As for male characters... I kind of like Dervishes, but Mesmers and Elementalists have the best choices for faces.

Lol'd.

Anyway, I always want characters to look badass. Males can look badass but aren't really in GW. I think badass females have something more then males.

I'd fear a badass female more than a badass male, to be honest... Except maybe Charlie - that armor is beyond "badass". You've gotta love that mask. =P

*droools* Awesome charlie.

Loving the palette of this one. And damn, some parts are so sharp! Like the piece of armor that is protecting his manly parts (well its a little bit above it I guess), just amazing.

Few things that bother me this far. I think his legs are a bit too short, its such a powerfull pose, I think taller legs would make it even more powerfull. That is if it does not resemble yourselve anymore, otherwise you gotta stick to your own bodyshapes. The other thing is his chest armor, the plating seems a bit weird, but perhabs you haven't finished it yet. 3rd thing that bothers me is that its not finished yet. FINISH IT! D:

Jeez, what's with all the male character hate? Haha. I'll probably be making my main War in GW2 a human male. But with all the cool new races and designs, I'll definitely be using more female characters this time around.

@Raven: Stand still long enough and Iron just might make it over there to ring your pants.

@Tzu: <3 Though what's XP proportions?

@Verene: Male mesmers have some of the coolest armor in the game. Yes, a few of the sets are kind of "marching band gay" as someone said. But the pimpin' fancy clothes they have outweighs all of the cons. Personally, I wish the GW1 Ele armor was more like the Mesmers.

@Drel: Thanks, glad you like it. I hope there will be some cool helmet designs that use the Oni mask design.

@The layered collar is what probably seems off about the chest. In the last WiP, it's not correct perspective wise. I saw that it wasn't positioned properly last night, but was too tired to fix it, lol.

And the legs are definitely a bit short. That was one of the problems I ran into when trying to draw the lower half of the body without having the upper torso to compare proportions.

Lastly, the "armor protecting his manly parts"...

I think that means RUN!

I don't hate males either, but like Ravenhawk said, they're just a little too bulky. Assassins, rangers, paras and necros weren't that bad though, but I guess I got too used to playing a female to create a male. :P

Ooooh, Metalocalypse <3<3

Hah. Iron isn't a bad guy. He'll politely ask a monster to stop their tomfoolery before he slowly bludgeons them to death with their own ass. Except for the Afflicted. My god, he hates the Afflicted.

And the "bulky" issue might be resolved in GW2 from what I understand. IIRC, there's going to be an option that can control the "thickness" of your char.

Yeah you can modify your characters very detailed, so I've heard. That's pretty neat in my oppinion.

If you make your Original Character in GW2, does that mean Anet will own it then? ;o
